Welcome! – Documenting your life

I am very excited to start this new adventure and my wish is for you to follow along with me and maybe pick up a few tidbits from my experience.

Simplify your scrapbooks.
SIMPLIFY: Streamline, Clarify – to make simple, to diminish, to reduce to bare essentials.

In 2011 I did a scrapbooking page that said I want to Simplify!  I began reading and searching for a way to accomplish a simpler life.  I have spent the last five years going through boxes and trying to reduce. It was a long, slow process, selling as much as I could to eliminate debt and be totally free.  I loved the thought of decluttering my life, not just my house.  I wanted to remove every unnecessary item from my life so I could pursue my passion.

If you could do anything in the world that you truly enjoyed and believed in, what would it be?  What is your passion?  I was totally amazed that when I would ask this question that many of the people asked would have no idea what their passion is.  They were so consumed with everyday responsibility and obligation, they didn’t have time to even explore what they enjoy. How sad.

I knew my passion was documenting family with photos and scrapbooks.  Up until now, I have randomly created scrapbook pages and love to document certain events.  However, with the passing of my parents, I realize it is more than that.  I want to document our family – what we do, what we believe, what we stand for and, yes, our passions.

My goal here is to provide you with quick, easy ways to document your life with pictures and journaling. We tend to forget so much just a few weeks after the event.   With the selection of tools and apps available to us today,  it is so much easier now to document as we go.  I will also show you quick, great ways to document those heritage photos that have come into your possession.  And just as important as taking those pictures and writing the story is printing and having it accessible to view – without using a device!

So, join me in this journey.  Pick and choose projects that fit your need.  A new project will be presented each Saturday.  Sign up for my newsletter and you will be notified when the new project post is available and what you will find on the blog.

Let us begin!
